Mayor BRYAN McGILLIS

Mr. McGillis is the Mayor of the Township of South Stormont; he was first elected in 2006 and now serves as our Mayor for another term to 2014.

He has been a member of various Township Committees for the term 2006-2010, including Committee of Adjustment, Planning Advisory and Economic/Waterfront Development, Raisin Region Conservation Authority and Emergency Management Committee. For the new term, Mayor McGillis sits as a member of the SDG Counties Joint Liason Committee, Police Services Board, Cornwall and Seaway Valley Tourism Board, and the Raisin Region Conservation Authority.

Mayor McGillis was first elected in 1988 in the former Township of Cornwall as Councillor at the age of 27. He served 2 previous terms as Councillor in the former Township of Cornwall and 1 term since amalgamation of the Township of South Stormont.

Personal Achievement

Bryan and his wife Cindy live on Myers Road. They have 3 children Angela, Eric and Brandon, and he is the proud grandpa of his beautiful granddaughter, Lyla.
